Payment and Fees

1. Yoga class tuition

   Yoga class tuition is $15 per class. Drop-in tuition is due the day of class. Series tuition payment is due either in full on the first day of the series, or in half-installments on the first and fourth day of the series. Students unable to attend the first class of the series may use the online WebStore* to make their payment or mail a check to: PO Box 386, Pittsboro NC 27312. Students paying in installments are responsible for adhering to the stated schedule; failure to do so may result in the loss of installment payment privileges.

   Late tuition fee: Effective Sept 10, 2011, tuition payments received 2 or more calendar days after due date will include a late payment charge of $1/class ($6/series). In this event, an electronic invoice will be sent to your email address on file. This payment, including the late fee, is due within 7 calendar days of the original due date. Students are encouraged to avoid this fee by timely payments or immediate communication regarding forthcoming payment.
   

   * The online Webstore uses PayPal secure interface for payment. User is NOT required to have a PayPal account in order to make a PayPal payment.
   

2. Payment for Services

   Payment for services are due on the day services are received. Click HERE for a complete payment schedule.
   

3. Forms of Payment

   Payment is accepted via cash, check, Paypal and NC Plenty. Donation clinics and some workshops also accept payment of local, organic, fresh produce. 
   

4. Service Cancellations and Cancellation Fees

   A $30 fee is charged for all cancellations given without 24hr notice. In this event, an electronic invoice will be sent to your email address on file. This payment is due within 30 days of the original appointment. For new clients, this fee must be paid before another service will be scheduled. For existing clients, this fee may be added to your next appointment fee, provided the next appointment is scheduled within 30 days of the cancellation.
   

5. Missed Appointment Fee

   Missed appointments will be billed at the full rate for the service scheduled.* In this event, an electronic invoice will be sent to your email address on file. This payment is due within 15 days of the missed appointment. If you fail to make payment, mediation and/or civil action will be taken to collect the amount due.

   *This fee will be waived in the event of a life-threatening emergency, sudden inclement weather, or other circumstances in which it is not feasible to contact the therapist. It is completely at the discretion of the therapist to waive or hold firm the missed appointment fee.
   

Yoga classes

1. Minimum physical fitness level for a beginning yoga student

   The practice of Hatha Yoga can be beneficial for almost all bodies, regardless of your physical condition. However, our Yin/Yang balance classes do require a minimum level of fitness for participation.

   If you have concerns about your fitness level, please contact Sage* before registering for class. If you are unable to participate in our yoga classes, Sage* can recommend appropriate classes in the Triangle area for students with different levels of ability and fitness. 

   A beginning yoga student for Yin/Yang Balance classes and Chakra Yoga classes should:

   • be able to walk across a large parking lot without strain;
   • be currently free of severe physical injuries or fragility;
   • be able to move all joints with relatively normal range of motion;
   • be able to participate in breathing exercises;
   • be able to get up and down from sitting on the floor.

2. What should I bring to class?

   You should bring a yoga mat and at least one blanket for bolstering (two if your body has areas of significant stiffness or inflexibility) to each class.
   

3. Missed Classes and Make-up Classes

   Make-up classes: As a general practice, make-up classes are not provided. Occasionally there may be an open space in another class of similar level. In this instance, you may make up one class per series when there is room in another class. Make-up classes must be finished by the time your series has ended. Make-up classes do not transfer over to future series.

   Drop-in classes may also be used to make-up one missed class per series. A make-up drop-in class must be finished within 30 days of the end of the series.
   

   Missed classes: If you know in advance that you will miss one class in a series, you may deduct $15 from your series payment at the beginning of the series. Classes missed during the series will not be refunded.* See above for make-up options.
